One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

Landon's First Deer Hunt

Landon has gone dove huting several times with his daddy, and went on a weekend trip to Dilley this year, but he went on his First Deer Hunt this week. Clint got a day hunt in Sweetwater and Landon and I went along. Clint hunted on his own Thrusday morning (11-18-10) while Landon and I went shopping. On the evening hunt, Landon went with his daddy though. (I did more Christmas shopping) Landon had his own play gun, a chair, blanket, and a Toy Story coloroing book for some entertainment while they waited to spot the perfect deer. Clint said it was almost dark when they spotted the buck they decided they would shoot. He said Landon was really good the whole time, and tried very hard to stay quiet. He only said one time that he wanted to get out and go with his Mama. :) {He does love me too! :)} They actually ended up with two bucks, which is kind of a funny story, and they had a great time together as Daddy and Son on Landon's first deer hunt.

He didn't want to get close to the deer at first, he said he was scared of it. He did end up holding the horns up and touching it after a while.

{scared :)}

Landon finally decided the deer was his friend, which was acutally kind of sad if you think about it.

My Little Deer Hunter...He is such a Big Man! I miss my baby boy, but every age is the "best" age. I just LOVE this kid!!
