One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

Day 1 of Our New Sitter

At the end of June our WONDERFUL sitter that we had, that Landon went to from the time I went back to work from maternity leave on, called us to tell us she was going to have to drop us. It was a long, complicated story, but since we were only part time, she was going to have to let us go. ::( :( :( :( Total dissapointment. Landon loved Mrs. Becky, she loved Landon as her own. She was VERY flexible. We didn't know what we were going to do. We have just worked my schedule around Clints jobs so far, and have been lucky to find someone in a pinch up until now.
Tuesday afternoon we went to meet a lady that the guy Clint bought my car tires from. (I know the guy, he went to the same high school as me, but several years older) His daughter stays there with her, she stays home with her kids. He told him about her a week or more ago and Clint had talked to her a few times, trying to schedule a day to meet.
We finally did on Tuesday....and....we LOVE Mrs. Heather. Landon really enjoyed the short visit we had with her and her kids that evening, he actually was upset when it was time to leave. We talked about the new sitter the rest of the night and told him that was his new Mrs. Becky. He would have to go, and be a big boy. Play nice with her kids, have fun, be polite, just like at Mrs. Beckys, even though it was new, a change. He said he wanted to go back "now". He was talking about what toys he was going to take to share with Erin, Cason, and Parker (her kids) and Sarah, the other little girl. It will just be Landon, Parker and Sarah once school starts.
Clint is always the one that deals with the sitter mostly because I leave at 530 am and get home at 800 pm. He said she told him that Landon had a great first day, just as we expected. Clint walked him to the porch, and just let him go in on his own. He didn't cry or anything, just agreed to have a good day..:) Only issue, no nap like he normally does for the sitter because he and Parker talked the whole time. :) Our baby is such a big boy! He will be ready for pre-school soon!
Prayers for a new AWESOME sitter were answered!!! Mrs. Heather is going to be great. They have lots of show animals (goats, sheep, pigs) and love the outdoors...just his type!
