One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

One last DCMC Post

Landon started feeling worse on Sunday (10/23/11) after the bad night Saturday, so we went for another CT scan. His neck was obviously more swollen and he was having more trouble moving his head. He was having fevers again, and I was really starting to get worried.
The ENT doctor finally decided it was time to take him to surgery. The abcess was more defined on the scan so he thought it was worth going in to look at it. He had three options at getting at it, and I am so thankful he got to go through his mouth after intubating him. I really hated knowing that he may have to cut the back of his neck and go through that way. The pic above is in the pre op area. He was so tired, he wouldnt open his eyes much or anything. We spent a lot of that day in bed, with me holding him and praying this got better soon. We held hands and waited for the surgery to begin. It ended up taking longer than planned because of some equipment that failed in the OR but all turned out well.
The morning after surgery he slept in the same position for like 10 hours. He was still swollen, but seemed to move slightly better.
We went to the play rooms on all the floors to kill time. (see how he was turning his whole body to look to the side) We did some painting, made snow, saw clowns, and all kinds of fun stuff to be in a hospital. We threw lots of coins into the wishing well outside too, wishing to get better and go home soon.
The last two days he wanted to get dressed in his boots and hat so his daddy went and got it for him. He was feeling better and wanted to go home, I guess he thought if he were dressed like her were ready to go they would let him. He was the most handsome patient around! :)
When they told us he was ok to go home with follow up appointments, he and his daddy were quick to grab the belongings and start loading up the car. He had tons of get well gifts to take home. :)
Thanks for all the love and PRAYERS! God is great, and my baby is well!
