One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

What A Week

Clint has been out of town for two weeks on a pipe line job. I worked Monday and was off Tuesday. Landon was ok all day tuesday, and at bed time had a fever of 104! So, I had to call into work. He can't go to the sitter with a fever. He slept 16 hours and was pretty good all day Wednesday. His fever wasn't much over 100 all day. Then, at bedtime, went up to 103 again. I decided we would make a doctor appointment and go see her on Thursday.
After making his appointment for 1pm I let him sleep til time to go, like 14 hours again. In the mean time his daddy called saying his tooth was bothering him pretty bad and wondered if I could make him an appointment. Mind you, he doesn't go to the dentist regularly so he isn't an established patient anywhere. So I am supposed to wave my magic wand and make something happen. I ended up getting him an appointment for 11am Friday.
So Landon and I went to his appointment. He did everything they wanted him to do. He even got on the scale. Ends up he has strep throat! Not suprising since Cora had had it and we were there all last weekend. So its 10 days of antibiotics, twice a day.
Clint came home Thursday night and went went in Friday for his dental exam to see what needs to be done. Ends up, they have a magic wand too :) and were able to schedule him in for another appointment. They did xrays and skipped his cleaning to send him to his next appointement. He ended up getting all 4 of his wisdom teeth cut out. He tried to chicken out, and just get the one that was bothering him out. I told him he may as well do it all at once and tough it out. After hearing our price (after the $1000.00 insurance paid) I was thinking maybe I should have let him chicken out. Holy cow!! Oh well, it had to be done before it got worse.
So I had two pathetic boys. Acutally Landon was fine after dose one of antibiotics and Clint did way better than I thought he would. Other than arguing with me about when he had to take his antibiotics. He thinks its ok to take them as he pleases, though I KNOW better.
Here is a pic of my boys resting up after Daddys surgery. Notice Landon is smiling and Daddy is NOT! :) I guess a 3 year old with strep throat is tougher that a 31 year old that has his wisdom teeth cut out. :)
Then on Saturday I had to go go get horse feed and hay. Clint decided he felt like going with me. We went to the feed store and Landon spotted the baby ducks and chicks. This sweet pic is of him holding a baby duck.
Of course, he wanted baby chicks. I didn't think it was that great of an idea. Daddy on the other hand didn't see the problem. (of course, hes out of town during the week, he doesn't have to feed :)) He put the decision off on me, so I could be the bad guy. I gave in and we ended up with one black chick and one red chick. Who can resist "Mama please, I want a baby chick. Please Mama, they are so cute!" :)
Names: Pancho and Lefty

Pancho and Lefty in their temporary home. Once they are big enough we will put them with our one surving hen and rooster in the big chicken coop.
Now I have two parakeets, two baby chicks, a dog and three horses to feed and water everyday!
Welcome to the farm!
