One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

Boating the Colorado River

Boating the Colorado River Saturday 5-1-10

Landon and Daddy enjoying the view on the boat

A beautiful view of the Colorado River

Look very close in the center of the pic on the tree and there is a HUGE snake slithering down :/

Chad and Melissa Stokes

Landon and Kylee enjoying the boat ride

"My Three Kids" playing in the river!! The current was pretty strong there!

Me and Landon wading in the shallow areas, it was pretty cold, so it took us a while to go ahead and get in deep.

My handsome little man LOVES it outside doing just about anything! And he's mighty cute in his new Cabelas life jacket~ :0)

Kylee was trying to find the "perfect" skipping rock for her Daddy. Clint was the "Rock Skipping Champion"

Another pretty view

The NOT so smart idea of Clint and Chad....here they are discussing the jump.

Clint jumping in!

Clint and I took Landon and Kylee and met Chad and Melissa to go boating the Colorado River. We had a ton of fun. We got there at like 10 am and didn't leave til around 6 pm. The views were awesome and the kids enjoyed playing in the water and seeing the turtles, butterflies, and even snakes. The snake wasn't so great though, it was HUGE and we all hate snakes.
The weather was over cast and cool in the morning, but cleared of and was so nice in the afternoon. We got in the water finally, which was very cold! Clint and Chad had a rock skipping contest. Kylee did all the "perfect" rock finding for her Daddy. We had little picnic on a sand bar too. It was so fun.
On the way back Clint and Chad decided to be dare devils becuase they spotted the "perfect jumping tree" I personally thought the idea was dumb because the river was low in areas. They already had to pull us thru sand in low spots a few times, but they decided to climb that tree and jump anyway. Clint went up first, but Chad jumped first. It was hilarious. Clint gave a whole new meaning to a "tree hugger" He looked like he was holding on for his life a few times, it was very high up. They both finally jumped and then had to do it one more time. They both lived, which I told them they were very lucky, they didn't know how deep that water was.
Landon usally learns all his ugly words from his Daddy, but today he learned one from me. I told Clint he was an idiot for doing that so Landon kept say "Daddy a idiot" :) Kinda funny i thought!
We can't wait to go back.
